Reading Fixed Length Indexed File Randomly Example


Scenario - Reading fixed length KSDS file randomly for employee id "E0005".

Explaining Example -

In the above example:

  • Fixed length KSDS (MATEPK.EMPL.KSDS) file is used as an input file.
  • File organization is INDEXED and accessing mode should be RANDOM.
  • Program randomly reads the record using EMP-ID is "E0005" and displays it. If record not found, displays "Record not found".
