Logoff from Mainframe
Once your work is completed in the mainframe, it is always good practice to logoff from your session. The LOGOFF command is used to terminate your terminal session.
The system will do the following when the LOGOFF command is executed -
- Free all the datasets allocated for your session.
- Data remaining in storage is lost.
- Terminate the TSO/E session normally.
Process -
Step-1:- You should navigate to the TSO command screen (READY prompt) to enter the LOGOFF command. Hit PF3 on "ISPF Primary Option Menu" for navigating to TSO command Screen.
Step-2:- Once you are at the screen, enter LOGOFF and hit "Enter".
Step-3:- The below successful logoff message is displayed and automatically redirects to the initial login screen.
